Indian man kills Nepali girlfriend in Kuwait for having affair

KUWAIT CITY: An unidentified Indian has been charged with premeditated murder of his Nepali girlfriend out of sheer jealousy, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily quoting personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department said the man doubted his girlfriend of having an affair with another person, and after a quarrel between them, he suffocated the victim by placing a pillow on her mouth until she resisted no more.

When the guard of the building informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior about the victim’s death in one of the apartments, police and paramedics rushed to the spot, and the death looked normal because there were no injuries or marks on her body, Arab Times reported.

However, when a neighbor told police that the couple was heard arguing and a little while later the man was seen smoking in the building compound, the suspect was taken into custody. Police noticed some scratches on his hands, believed to be injuries he suffered when the victim fought for her life.

Under intense interrogations, he broke down and admitted to suffocating her to death because he suspected her of an affair with another man. The man has been referred to the Public Prosecution and charged with premeditated murder.
