19 gamblers held with Rs 244,000 cash



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 19 gamblers with Rs 244,000 in cash from Suklafanta municipality-2, Jhalari of Kanchanpur.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of District Police Office, Kanchanpur caught red-handed 19 gamblers including hotelier Dabal Bahadur Airee, a local, said Amar Bahadur Thapa, the spokesperson of for DPO, Kanchanpur.

The arrested are from Kailali and Kanchanpur districts. They have been kept in the custody of Kanchanpur and preparations are underway to take legal actions against them, said Thapa.
