Land lease agreement signed for Nepali mission in Oman



KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman signed an agreement to lease a plot of land in the diplomatic area to build chancery and residence of the head of the Nepali mission.

Ambassador of Nepal to Oman Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal and Undersecretary, Administration and Financial, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Mohamed bin Nasser bin Mohamed Al Wahaibi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments at a function held in Oman today.∙

As per the agreement, the Nepal embassy has slotted a plot of 4100 sqm in the diplomatic area for the aforementioned purpose, according to the Embassy of Nepal.

After the signing ceremony Ambassador Dhakal and Under Secretary Mohamed bin Nasser congratulated each other for achieving a milestone in the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Also, they discussed exploring relations between two countries in the sectors of trade, tourism and bilateral investment besides labor issues.

As per the policy of the government of Nepal, Embassy is planning to begin the construction work of the building very soon.
