COVID-19 patients in home isolation to get free oxygen service

BIRGUNJ: Citing the number of coronavirus patients requiring oxygen is increasing lately, Community Police Partnership Program(CPPP) Birgunj has started providing oxygen to the coronavirus patients in home isolation free of cost.

According to Anup Agrawal, the coordinator CPPP Birgunj, the board of CPPP has decided to provide oxygen free of cost to the people living in home isolation as the number of people living in home isolation has gone up recently.

The program has been launched in coordination with the Lions Clubs of Birgunj.

Help Desk Coordinator Agrawal informed that 15 oxygen cylinders have been handed over to Ganga Panta, the Chief of Parsa District Police Office.

He added that the Help Desk has also provided regulator, pipe, sanitizer and gloves as well.

The medical goods and supplies kept in the District Police Office will be provided through COVID-19 Help Desk.

After finding that more than one-third of people with coronavirus symptoms require oxygen service, the free oxygen service has been initiated in the district.

With the shortage of ventilators and ICU facilities in the hospital, many people are encouraged to stay at home isolation and inform for the health advice required at home.

A total of 624 coronavirus positive people are living in home isolation in Parsa.
