Coronavirus kills 115,451, infects 3,627,217 in Brazil

KATHMANDU: More than 115,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Brazil, the second worst-hit country after America by the pandemic in the world.

Until the filing of this report, 679 people died of coronavirus in Brazil in the past 24 hours taking the death tally to 115,451.

Similarly, 21,434 people were infected with the virus in a single day taking the total number of coronavirus cases to 3,627,217 as of Tuesday morning.

Currently, 733,057 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country. Meanwhile, 2,778,709 have returned home after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the deadly virus has spread to 113 countries including two international conveyances, killing 817,005 and 23,811,693 people across the world.
