Inaruwa enforces lockdown from Saturday

INARUWA: Inaruwa Municipality has enforced lockdown from Saturday onward following the detection of a COVID-19 case, said the Sunsari District Administration Office.

It may be noted that the government lifted almost a four-month-long nationwide lockdown on July 22.
A meeting of the DAO, the municipality and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Inaruwa chaired by Chief District Officer Phanindra Mani Pokharel on Friday night took the decision to that end, informed CCI President Birendra Kumar Sah.

A man of Inaruwa had recently tested positive for coronavirus infection. Contact tracing has started following the diagnosis of the infection case. Swab samples of 12 people and the family of the infected man have been tested and reports are awaited, it has been said.
