School quarantines being vacated in eastern Chitwan



CHITWAN: Khairahani municipality in the eastern belt of Chitwan has begun vacating the quarantine set up at schools.

Municipality mayor Lalmani Chaudhari informed that they began evacuating school quarantines in view of the need to run classes.

Earlier, quarantines were set up at dozens of schools including Kankali Secondary School, Janajivan Secondary School, Khairahani Secondary School, Kathar Secondary School, Kapiya Secondary School, Gabai Secondary School, Janaekata Basic School for keeping the coronavirus infected people.

However, a quarantine was set up at Disney park resort for those willing to stay by paying fee.

The basic school at Kharkhutte has removed the quarantine, Chaudhary said, adding that the virus infected persons would now be kept in the quarantine at drinking water building, Satsang building.

“As the government has directed to open admission from coming Bhadra 1, we’re preparing for running class.

The Radha Swami Satsang, a religious group, has said it would provide its building for the quarantine,” mayor added.

Chief administrative officer at the municipality, Purushottam Sharma, informed that the religious group was ready to even provide breakfast to anyone to stay in quarantine in its building.

The building can accommodate 30 persons while the drinking water building accommodates 18 persons.

There are currently 54 persons staying in quarantines in different places of Khairahani municipality. So far, 261 persons returned home after recovery from the quarantines.
