Province 2 reports 178 COVID-19 cases



JANAKPURDHAM: Number of coronavirus infected people has reached 178 till Sunday in Province-2.

The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 178 after six more individuals tested positive for coronavirus in the State, according to Secretary at the Social Development Ministry of State-2 Dr Ram Prasad Ghimire in a press statement released on Sunday.

All six new coronavirus infected people are male. They are 48-year-old man of Sarlahi district, currently living in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City in Bara, 32-year-old man of Rautahat district, currently living at Kalaiya, 34-year-old man of Parsa, currently living at Kalaiya, 32-year-old man of Kalaiya, 25-year-old man of Birgunj and 60-year-old man of Birgunj.

There are a total of 264 quarantines in the State and altogether 9,220 people are under quarantine while 5,296 people are in home quarantine and 173 in isolation in the State.

Swabs of 8,254 people were collected in the State till Sunday and the reports of 1,596 are still awaited.
