Brief rain likely in central, western hilly regions



KATHMANDU: The Metrological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast brief rain/ thundershowers at some places in the eastern region and at a few places of the central and western hilly regions on Sunday.

In a weather bulletin, it stated that the weather will be generally cloudy in the eastern and central hilly regions and partly cloudy in the western hilly region in the afternoon and evening.

Brief rain/ thundershowers are likely to occur at some places eastern and central hilly region and at a few places of the western hilly region at night, according to MFD.

The met office stated that at present India has a low-pressure system around West Bengal and Bangladesh. In the eastern part of Nepal, this system has a partial effect as well as a local wind effect.

There is a possibility of rain with thunder/lightning/wind in a few places in the central and eastern parts of the country and in one or two places in the western part of the country for coming 24 hours, it further said.
