Govt to mobilize health workers’ team in all local units



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to mobilize a three-member team led by a public health officer in all the 753 local units across the country to control and prevent coronavirus.

Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health Dr. Bikash Devkota said that the team is being formed for facilitating tracing and testing.

“The teams will be mobilized in local units and they will facilitate in tracing and testing and other activities for prevention and control of coronavirus,” Spokesperson Devkota shared.

Each team will have a public health officer, a lab technician and a paramedic or nurse.

One team will be mobilized in a rural municipality, two in a municipality, three is a sub-metropolitan city and five in a metropolis.
