Italy reports 25,549 deaths, 189, 973 infection cases

KATHMANDU: Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has witnessed 464 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 25,549 as of Friday morning.

With 2,646 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 189, 973, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America.

Currently, 106,848 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 2,267 are critical. Meanwhile, 57,576 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 190, 496 and infecting 2,716, 320 people as of Friday morning.
