Child admitted to Kanti Children’s Hospital tests negative for COVID-19

KATHMANDU: A child admitted to the isolation ward at Kanti Children’s Hospital has tested negative for COVID-19.

Hospital’s Director Krishna Poudel told Khabarhub that the sample of the kid was sent to National Public Health Laboratory on Monday and the result came out to be negative.

According to him, the kid has now been shifted from the isolation ward as he has been diagnosed with pneumonia.

The kid was taken to the hospital after showing symptoms similar to COVID-19 and his father had recently returned from Dubai.

Dr. Poudel added that four other children have been admitted to the isolation ward and test reports of two kids will arrive by Tuesday evening.
