NC urges government to introduce package for people in need during lockdown

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress party has urged the government to come up with special support packages for the people, especially the unemployed, underprivileged, and the students as there are possibilities of further extending the lockdown.

Issuing a statement on Tuesday, NC spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma said the people in need would find it difficult to meet their basic needs as all stores have been shut.

He also urged the government to support the people in need.

Likewise, the NC party has also urged the government to ensure the effective implementation of the isolation and quarantine restrictions.

The NC has also demanded the government to establish at least one lab in each province to make sure that health facilities in the provinces would not need to send swab samples to Kathmandu for coronavirus tests.
