POKHARA: Police have arrested a person, calling himself a pastor, whose viral video had claimed those believing in Jesus Christ would not be infected by the coronavirus.

Police in Pokhara arrested Keshav Raj Acharya, a pastor at the Prashasta Katani Church in Pokhara, on the charge of spreading misleading message about COVID-19, SP Dan Bahadur Karki of the District Police Office said.

Further investigation is underway, police said.
