President Bhandari sends video message to Chinese President

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has sent a video message to Chinese President and the people of China on the occasion of Chinese New Year, 2020.

This is the first time that Nepal’s head of state has sent a video message to other countries using modern technology.

The video has been recorded using teleprompter, a display device that prompts the person speaking with an electronic visual text of a speech or script.

According to a highly-placed source, the video is of about 5 minutes and 30 seconds and that the voice over in Chinese Language is done by Barsha (Zhang Yue), the Nepal correspondent for China Radio International (CRI).

The video, which was delivered to China on Thursday through Chinese Embassy, will be presented to Chinese President Xi Jinping and it will  be broadcast through television on January 24, the source told Khabarhub.

Chinese New Year 2020 falls on January 25 and that the festival will last for 15 days.
