HoR dissolution is for stability and change: Home Minister Thapa

KATHMANDU: Secretariat member of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Ram Bahadur Thapa has said the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) was for stability and revolutionary change.

Addressing the party’s ongoing Central Committee meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar today, Home Minister Thapa said the divisive, opportunist and regressive forces would be defeated through the election.

Referring to those in the NCP who are against taking a fresh mandate of the people, he said, “Their attention is towards reversing the achievements of the revolution.

They are caught up in the snare of the enemies. The party will carry forward with determination the steps taken by the party’s nationalist leadership.”

Leader Thapa made it clear that he supports the leadership that has played a role remaining at the forefront for the unity of the communist movement, stability in the country, peace and national interest.
