Massive fire at Mithila Department, property worth Rs 50 million gutted

JANAKPURDHAM: A massive fire broke out at Mithila Department located at Shiva Chowk of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City this morning.

Property worth tens of millions rupees was gutted in the fire that took place at 10:30 am. The fire engines from Nepal Civil Aviation Office, Janakpurdham, Jaleshwor, Dhanushadham and Kshireshwornath municipalities, security bodies and locals doused the fire after two and half hours.
Chief of Dhanusha District Police, Ramesh Basnet, said that the reason behind the fire has not been ascertained yet.

Managing Director of the Department, Harikant Mishra, said that goods worth Rs 50 million was gutted in the incident. RSS
