Exports increase five percent in the first five months of current FY



KATHMANDU: Exports have increased five percent in the first five months in the current fiscal year, 2020/21 as compared to the previous FY, 2019/20, according to data published by the Department of Customs.

Goods worth Rs 50.5 billion have been exported in the first five months in the current FY, which is a 5.12 percent increase as compared to the previous FY when goods worth Rs 47.61 billion were exported.

There has been approximately 10 percent decrease in imports as opposed to the same period in the previous FY, 2019/20.

Goods worth Rs 525.49 billion have been imported in the first five months in the current FY, a 9.59 percent decrease as compared to the previous FY when goods worth Rs 581.25 billion were imported, according to data. RSS
