Two killed in road accident



CHITWAN: Two people travelling on a motorcycle were killed when a gas bullet hit their bike on the East-west highway at Hardi, Rapti Municipality-6 on Monday evening, police said.

The deceased are the locals of Hardi. They died on the way to hospital in Bharatpur.

The locals had obstructed the highway after the mishap and clashed with police on several occasions as the latter tried to disperse them, Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said.

According to police the gas bullet bearing Indian registration number plate Pra 3-03 hit the motorcycle (002 Pa 118). The gas bullet and its driver have been impounded for necessary action.
