RPP’s Gyan Bahadur Shahi takes commanding lead in Jumla



KATHMANDU: While the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is performing strongly in many constituencies nationwide, Jumla appears to be favoring the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in the ongoing House of Representatives election in Nepal vote count.

According to the latest results, former lawmaker Gyan Bahadur Shahi of the RPP has secured a commanding lead with 10,632 votes.

Binita Kathayat of the RSP has received 230 votes so far.

Meanwhile, Naresh Bhandari of the Nepali Communist Party has secured 6,826 votes, Dip Bahadur Shahi of the Nepali Congress has received 4,151 votes, and Shantilal Mahat of the CPN -UML has secured 2,884 votes.

Birsha Bahadur Raut of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party has received 297 votes so far.
