Province 1 COVID-19 tally propels to 16,817 with 389 new cases

BIRATNAGAR: With 389 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, the province case tally of Province 1 has reached 16,817.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 1, the province saw 265 cases in Morang, 60 in Sunsari, 41 in Jhapa, 10 in Ilam and one each in Udayapur, Khotang, Sankhuwasabha, Tehrathum and Solukhumbu today.

The Ministry stated that there have been 4 cases in the people outside the province.

Similarly, the province got 550 people discharged after recovery today.

The province conducted the PCR test of 2158 people today out of which 157 female and 232 male tested coronavirus positive. The province has carried out PCR test of 152,985 people till date.

There have been 157 COVID-19 related deaths in this province.
