Four critically ill after consuming wild mushrooms in Dolpa



DOLPA: Four persons have been seriously ill in Thulibheri Municipality of Dolpa after consuming wild mushrooms.

Uttam Bahadur Shahi, 33, of Thuribheri Municipality-7, Surya Bahadur Sahi, 31, Kamal Bahadur Shahi, 33, of Ward No. 8 and Satya Bahadur Shahi, 44, of Ward No. 8 have been critically sick after eating wild mushrooms on Sunday evening.

Although they were ill on Sunday evening, the police received the news only on Monday morning.

After receiving the news this morning, a team of seven police personnel under the command of Assistant Inspector Krishna Thiruva had gone to the incident place.

“It takes three hours to reach there,” said DSP Narayan Ranjitkar of Dolpa Police.

A Simrik Air helicopter has brought three people to Surkhet.

DSP Ranjit Kar said that a separate helicopter has been managed to rescue another person.

According to him, one of them is being prepared to be sent to Nepalgunj.
