CAN insures 51 persons including 23 players



KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has insured 51 persons including 23 players.

Issuing a statement, CAN said it has insured 51 persons, including male players and staff.

According to CAN source, 51 players including 23 players, 16 ground staff of Kirtipur ground, 6 staffers of Mulpani ground and 6 staffers of CAN have been insured.

The CAN said it will insure female players in the near future as there is no immediate competition.

CAN sources said that it will take some time as the documents of the female players have not been received yet.

Various sports organizations have initiated insuring and carrying out tests for coronavirus amid the increase in coronavirus infection.

The Nepali cricket team has not played any match since March due to the fear of corona infection. Similarly, several players have not started training apart from individual training.

Similarly, the National Sports Council (NSC) has decided to stall all sports competitions, training and all sports-related activities until further notice.

The administrative work of the Council has also been stalled except for urgent issues.

Similarly, the office of Nepal Olympic Committee and the All Nepal Football Association have also remained closed.

The office of Cricket Association of Nepal is also closed.
