Woman succumbs to coronavirus in Birgunj, Nepal’s death toll hits 44



BIRGUNJ: An 85-year-old woman has succumbed to coronavirus in Birgunj on Friday.

According to Medical Superintendent of Temporary COVID Hospital operated by Narayani Hospital Dr. Madan Kumar Upadhyaya, the woman hailing from Birgunj-11 died in course of treatment at the hospital today.

The woman was admitted to the hospital after having pneumonia, he said, adding that she was a heart patient.

With the death, Nepal’s death toll from coronavirus has reached 44.
