3 houses, 22 livestock buried in Nuwakot landslide



NUWAKOT: Three houses were buried by a landslide triggered by incessant rains at Duipipal Dabali in Belkotgadhi municipality-6 in the district on Friday morning.

The landslide buried three houses, livestock and grains, said Ram Prasad Nepal, a local.  No human casualties were reported.

The landslide occurred at 9 am today, said Nepal. Houses belonging to Tulshilal Shrestha, Birbal Shrestha and another local have been destroyed.

As many as 22 livestock including 18 goats and four buffaloes have gone missing in the landslide.

Police and Nepal Red Cross Society are carrying out rescue works.
