Landslide at Charkilo area again disrupts Narayangadh-Muglin road

CHITWAN: Landslide again took place at Ichhakamana rural municipality-6, Charkilo along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section this morning.

According to the District Police Office Chitwan, landslide occurred at the same place immediately after resuming one-way traffic with the removal of debris off the road last night.

Chitwan district police spokesperson DSP Surya Bahadur Thapa informed the landslide was continually taking place due to incessant rainfall.

Time required for road clearance cannot be clearly stated as the debris is huge in volume, he informed.

It may be noted the landslide had hit the same area on last Monday. The landslide debris was removed in 36 hours. The two-way road traffic was disrupted due to the landslide. —
