Two individuals arrested in connection with acid attack



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons on the charge of attacking a girl with acid.

A team of Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu arrested Mohammad Alam of Rautahat district, currently staying at Dallu, Kathmandu and Indian national Munna Mohammad.

They were arrested from Sirjansheel Tole of Nargarjun municipality-4 on Thursday night.

According to police, they have admitted to have attacked the girl with acid over unrequited love affairs.

Pabitra Karki,22, of Okhaldhunga was attacked with acid at Bafal on Thursday evening while she was out to purchase curd.

The victim is undergoing treatment at Kirtipur Hospital.
