Sudurpashchim Province reports 272 new COVID-19 cases



DHANGADHI: In its single day record, the Sudurpashchim Province witnessed 272 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, as many as 272 positive cases were reported from the swabs tested at the National Public Health Laboratory, Bir Hospital’s Laboratory and Dhangadhi Laboratory.

Among them are 16 females and 69 males of Kanchanpur, 9 females and 39 males of Kailali, 10 females and 38 males of Doti, 10 males of Accham, 7 males of Bajura and 1 female and 3 males of Baitadi tested positive in the swabs tested in National Pubic Health Laboratory, Teku.

Similarly, 1 female and 13 males of Achham tested coronavirus positive in the laboratory established in Bir Hospital.

Likewise, 57 people tested COVID-19 positive in Dhangadhi.

With this, the COIVD-19 cases in Sudurpaschim Province have reached 1,549.

According to the Provincial Hospital sources, Kailali has the largest number of cases. There have been 508 cases in Kailali, 205 Dadeldhura, 160 in Baitadi, 209 in Doti, 194 in Kanchanpur and 112 in Achham.

Likewise, there are 100 cases in Bajura, 44 in Bajhang and 12 in Darchula till date.
