Landslide disrupts Beni-Jomsom road



MYAGDI: Beni-Jomsom road section has been blocked due to a landslide triggered by incessant rain.

The road, which is considered a lifeline of Gandaki Pradesh, was disrupted after a boulder and mud fell down to the road at Dana of Annapurna rural municipality this morning, said tourism entrepreneur Indra Singh Sherchan.

Vehicular movement has been halted after the landslide occurred, said District Police Office, Myagdi.

The 76-km-long road that connects Mustang district with the national highway is precarious from Dana of Myagdi to Gansa of Mustang.

Landslides had occurred in half a dozen places along Chamere to Gansa of Mustang road section on Saturday.
