Nepal sending airbus to five destinations to bring Nepalis today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal government has been rescuing Nepali people stranded in various parts of the world due to coronavirus-induced lockdown.

Nepal Airlines, Himalaya Airlines and Turkish Airlines are conducting a total of five flights to bring Nepalis on Wednesday.

According to Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Turkish Airlines is conducting a flight to Istanbul at 4 pm today. Similarly, an airbus of Himalayan Airlines is flying to Jeddah at 8:35 pm, Nepal Airlines to Kuwait and Narita at 8:45 and 9 pm.

Likewise, Himalaya Airlines will conduct a flight to Doha at 10:40 pm.

A total of 783 Nepali people came back to Nepal from five countries on chartered flights on Tuesday.

They had been stranded in different countries in the world due to an international flight ban imposed by the respective countries to curb coronavirus spread.
