Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center suspends all services

KATHMANDU: The Maharajgunj-based Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center has suspended all its services after finding one of the patients in the hospital test COVID-19 positive on Friday.

After finding a 54-year-old woman from Hetauda admitted to the hospital for the cardiac treatment suffering from coronavirus positive, the cardiac hospital has suspended all its services from late Friday evening.

The swab of 40 people including the doctors and nurses in the hospital has been collected for PCR testing.

When the woman admitted to the hospital for the treatment of heart hazards developed the symptoms of pneumonia, the hospital had sent her swab for coronavirus test.

The woman had first visited Sahid Gangalal National Heart Center after she arrived from Hetauda. The Center had referred her to the center for further treatment.

She was admitted to the center’s CCU on May 17.

After getting her coronavirus report positive, the woman is transferred to TU Teaching Hospital’s COVID-19 Ward and is undergoing treatment there.

According to the hospital sources, the woman has multiple complications: her pace is slow and the blood pressure is low as well.
