403, 201 Coronavirus patients recover in USA



KATHMANDU: America, the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has reported 1,293 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 97, 647.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 24, 197 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 1,645,094 as of Saturday morning.

Currently, 1,144, 246 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 17, 109 are critical.  Meanwhile, 403, 201 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 29, 009 deaths followed by New Jersey and Massachusetts with 10, 986 and 6,228 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 339,425 and infecting 5,298, 207 people so far.
