4,813 tested, 28 infected from COVID-19 in Province-1



BIRATNAGAR: As many as 4,813 people have been tested for COVID-19 so far in Province-1 so far.

Among those tested, only 884 samples have been tested through PCR technology while 3,929 people were tested through rapid test.

Similarly, 28 people have been tested positive for the coronavirus including two women, according to the information desk under the office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers. Out of 28 infected persons, 16 are Nepalis while 12 are Indians.

Likewise, 4 people are from Morang, 11 are from Udaypur, and one from Saptari district.

All the infected persons have been taken to Koshi Hospital.

According to Province, 1092 people are kept in quarantine centers while 24 people have discharged from the center.

Moreover, 30 people are kept in isolation centers so far and 10 persons have returned home from the isolation after having a normal health condition.

Similarly, 4910 people are living in-home quarantine. Out of them, 794 are women and 4,116 are men.
