Public handwashing taps at various places in capital

KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu in collaboration with various organizations has made arrangements people in general to wash hands in various places in the Kathmandu Valley.

According to DIG Bishwa Raj Pokharel chief of Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari, an arrangement has been made to wash hands in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur in collaboration with Machhapuchchhre by installing a water tank.

The initiation has been taken to this effect as per the expert’s advice so that the spread of the coronavirus pandemic can be minimized by washing hands, using facemask and sanitizers, said Pokharel.

According to Pokharel, public water taps have been installed at Ratnapark, Baneshwor, Gaushala, Sinamangal, Maharajgunj and TU Teaching Hospital.

Similarly, such arrangements have been made at Thapathali, Teku Hospital, Patan Hospital in Lalitpur and in crowded places of Bhaktapur.
