Whom will the NCP Mayors support after party split?



KATHMANDU: Along with the splitting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) the leaders of local and province levels are taking to either of Prime Minister KP Oli or Prachanda-Nepal camp.

Out of the six metropolitan cities in the country, NCP has bagged three posts of Mayors.

NCP sources claim that out of the three NCP mayors, two are in the Oli camp and one in the Prachanda-Nepal camp.

Bidya Sundar Shakya, the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolis and Man Bahadur GC of Pokhara Metropolis have supported the Oli camp whereas Mayor Renu Dahal, the Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City Chitwan is in the Prachanda-Nepal camp.

Renu Dahal is the daughter of NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”.
