NEPSE rises by 7 points



KATHMANDU: NEPSE index of Wednesday has witnessed a slight rise by seven points.

As revealed in stock exchange index, although there has been a slight rise in the index most of the groups have seen the decline today.

The index has increased by 7.04 points and reached 2,068.45 points. In the meantime, the Sensitive Index which measures the trading activity of Class A companies, has declined by 1.24 points.

Despite the minor rise in the overall NEPSE index, most sub-indices including those of trade, hotel, development bank, hydropower and finance have declined today.

The record shows that banking rose by 24.27 points, life insurance by 394.07 points and mutual funds by 0.07 points on Wednesday.

The transaction amount reached close to Rs 7 billion when 1,15,58,991 shares of 203 companies have been traded through 51,302 transactions today.
