Minister Gurung calls for infrastructure development in IT sector



KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung today stressed the need for physical infrastructure construction for the development of information technology.

Information technology should be made responsible and transparent, said the minister at a virtual program with the theme of ‘Open Government: Civic Partnership’ organized here by the NGO Federation of Nepal.

Stating that ‘integrated mobile app’ has been operated at all local levels for the development of information technology with the goals of prospering the country through citizens’ partnership, he said, “Work is underway to launch the mobile app at all local levels.

It will contribute to free the country from corruption and get the services done effectively through technology.” Priorities have been given on expanding internet at all wards of local levels, he said.
