Kathmandu Valley witnesses 2,720 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 2,720 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,357 persons in Kathmandu, 226 in Lalitpur, 127 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 153,008 as of Friday afternoon after 4,499 persons tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 16,864 sample tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours

Likewise, 17 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 829, the Ministry confirmed.
