NEW DELHI: India’s World Cup winning Captain Kapil Dev who was hospitalised after suffering heart attack has gone through an angrioplasty and is in stable condition.
According to the Hindustan Times, the legendary Indian cricketer and captatin of the 1983 World Cup Winning team, Kapil Dev suffered a heart scare and has undergone angioplasty at a hospital in New Delhi.
Indian Cricketers Associtation President Ashok Malhotra told PTI that he is out of danger and his health condition is improving.
“He is feeling okay now. I just spoke to his wife (Romi). He was feeling uneasy yesterday. He is undergoing check-ups at a hospital as we speak,” former Test Player and Indian Crickerters Association President Ashok Malhotra told PTI.
Kapil Dev, is considered one of the greatest captains and cricketers to have ever come out of India, Kapil Dev is the leading Indian cricket team pacer having taken 434 wickets in 131 Test which was considered the highest at one point in time.
