Nepali woman attacked in UK



KATHMANDU: A Nepali woman was attacked from behind before being knocked unconscious by a group of young men in Farnborough.

The incident, which Hampshire Police are treating as a racially aggravated assault, took place between the Curly Bridge and Cove Brook Bridge area between 6.30pm and 7.45pm on Monday.

The victim, a NepalI woman in her 40s, was walking on the footpath between the two bridges when she was verbally abused by the group, Hampshire Live reported.

She was then knocked to the floor from behind and lost consciousness. She suffered injuries to her elbow and bruising to her face.

A police statement described the youths as being white males, all aged between 17 and 19. One of the males was also taller than the others and had blonde hair. They were all wearing dark clothing.
