Seven more persons succumb to coronavirus in Nepal

Death toll reach 436



KATHMANDU: Seven more persons have succumbed to coronavirus in Nepal as of Wednesday afternoon, the Ministry of Health and Population said today.

Two persons from Kathmandu, and one each from Jhapa, Siraha, Lalitpur and two from Bardiya succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said.

According to the Ministry, those dead include a 70-year-old male from Lalitpur, an 86-year-old male from Jhapa, a 50-year-old male from Siraha, 63-year-old woman from Kathmandu, a 16-year-old male from Kathmandu, and two males of 64 and 39 years of age succumbed to the coronavorus.

Similarly, a 74-year-old man from Patan died at Alka Hospital in Lalitpur this morning.

The man from Bhadrapur, Jhapa, died today while undergoing treatment at Virat Teaching Hospital in Morang.

He was admitted to isolation for treatment on September 19 after he was infected with coronavirus. He had suffered from complex pneumonia, respiratory and kidney problems.

Similarly, a 64-year-old man from Bardiya died while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur Banke.

He was admitted to the hospital last Sunday due to ailing health problems and he was confirmed with coronavirus on Monday. He was suffering from pneumonia, the hospital said.

Likewise, the 39-year-old man from Barbardia Municipality-3 died at 10:30 this morning while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

He was suffering from pneumonia. The hospital said that his corona was confirmed last Sunday.
