‘Media Alliance Nepal’ formed under Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar

KATHMANDU: Private media entrepreneurs have formed ‘Media Alliance Nepal’ under the chairmanship of Avenues Television Chairman Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar.

Similarly, Mahendra Sherchan, Chairman of Rajdhani News Publications and Raju Kandel, Chairman of Mountain Television are in the post of vice-chairmen of the alliance.

Chief Executive Officer of Image Channel, Laxman Humagain has been appointed as the General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of Impression Publications and Media Pvt. Ltd. Ujwal Sharma has been appointed as the Treasurer.

Similarly, Dr Bijay Poudel of Janata Prakashan and Prasaran Limited, Rishi Dhamala, Chairman of Prime Television, Rajendra Shakya, CEO of AP1 Television, Samriddi Gyawali, Executive Officer of the Republica Media Pvt. Ltd are members of the newly-formed alliance.

Rameshwor Thapa, Chairman of Annapurna Network Pvt. Ltd and Binod Gyawali, Chairman of Republica Media Pvt. Ltd, are in the role of advisors.

It is said that the alliance has been formed with the objective of solving the common problems that have appeared in the private media.
