Most-wanted Indian national ‘Bagga’ arrested

BIRATNAGAR: Police have arrested the mastermind of a gang involved in smuggling illegal weapons and drugs into various cities of Nepal from India.

Police arrested Pradip Yadav, a 39-year-old Indian national aka ‘Bagga’, an arms’ dealer, on the police’s most wanted list.

According to DSP Man Bahadur Rai, Spokesperson of Morang Police, Yadav was arrested on Saturday evening from Biratnagar-16 Daraiya.

Police claim that he is also a fugitive defendant in arms and drug case.

Police spokesperson DSP Rai said that investigation has revealed that he mobilized the illegal weapons and drug network throughout Nepal by staying in India.

Police arrested ‘Bagga’ with 15 bottles of Dilex DC, 50 tablets of Nitrosan and 51 tablets of Nitrovet.

According to the police, Bagga was involved in various criminal activities in Nepal while living in India.

Similarly, police had arrested Sushil Kumar Sahu, 35, of Sunsari Duhabi Municipality-5 and currently living in Itahari-12 Khanar along with Mandeep Tamang from Hulas Metal Chowk in Biratnagar-16 while smuggling illegal arms from India to Nepal.olice have registered an arms and ammunition case against them.
