COVID-19: India records over 70,000 cases in a single day



KATHMANDU: More than 70,000 have been infected with coronavirus in a single day in India.

The number of infection cases has reached 3,043,426 after 70,068 were infected in a single day in the last 24 hours.

This is the highest number in Asia and the third in the world.

A total of 2,279,900 people have returned home after recovery while 706,990 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, currently.

Similarly, more than 56,000 have died from coronavirus in India so far.

With 918 death cases on Saturday, the number of deaths from the COVID-19 has reached 56,846 on Saturday, according to Worldometers.
