Bagmati CM Poudel monitors projects in east Makawanpur

HETAUDA: Chief Minister of Bagmati State government, Dormani Poudel, has carried out a monitoring of some important projects in east Makawanpur.

The Chief Minister visited the Bagmati rural municipality on Monday and acquired information regarding overall development and construction activities going on in the area.

On the occasion, he also inspected the under-construction bridge over the Bagmati River under the Madan Bhandari highway (Dharan-Chatara) that connects Makawanpur with the neighboring district of Sindhuli.

He said although the construction of the bridge was not satisfactory in the past, the works taking place now have raised hopes. He added that still the works were not taking place up to the expected level.

Chief Minister Poudel said the Bagmati province capital Hetauda would be easily connected to Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Kavre, Sindhupalchok, Rasuwa among other districts with the construction of the bridge.

The 318 kilometres long road connects Dharan with Hetauda of Makawanpur via Chatara, Gaighat and Sindhuli. Road construction is taking place at present in two sectors – Hetauda to Sindhuli and Sindhuli to Udayapur at present.
