Don’t charge fee during period schools not operated: Education Ministry



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has directed private schools not to charge fees during the period  schools were not operated.

Issuing a press note on Monday, Spokesperson at the Ministry Dipak Sharma ordered PABSON and N-PABSON not to take fee from the students during the period when the schools were not run.

The Ministry in the note has said it has been concerned with the recent appeal made by the PABSON and N-PABSON.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has warned not to carry out any activities against Students Learning Facilitation Directives 2077. It has further said that it is ready to discuss the problems being faced by the schools, if any.

Schools should consult the respective local unit if they are facing any problems regarding students learning through alternative means that began since June 15, reads thepress note.

Students’ unions have also urged private schools not to take fee for the period during which no classes were run.
