Police nab man supplying liquor in quarantine

CHITWAN: Chitwan Police has arrested a man supplying liquor to the person in the quarantine.

Kumar Thapaliya 25, of Rapti Municipality-3 was arrested while supplying the homemade liquor to a person staying in a quarantine set up in Buddha Shanti Secondary School, Chitwan.

According to Ishwor Simkhada, the information officer at the District Administration Office, Chitwan, Thapaliya was taken into custody while he was fetching homemade alcohol to his relatives in the quarantine on Wednesday evening.

Area Police Office Bhandara presented Thapaliya to District Administration Office Chitwan on Thursday.

According to the police, as the hearing is not complete he is still in custody.

The local government of Chitwan has arranged for the quarantine of the people coming to Chitwan from outside.

Quarantine regulations do not permit the people there to drink alcohol.
