Health Ministry issues another flawed press statement

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has again issued an inaccurate press release on Friday while updating the details of those infected with the coronavirus.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry, 15 people were found infected in Ramnagar Bahuarwa Rural Municipality of Sarlahi and 8, 9, 11, 13 and 14 wards of Godaita Municipality.

However, there are only 12 wards in Godaita Municipality.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, 15 people have been infected in Sarlahi today.

According to the Godaita Municipality office, 13 of the infected are from Godaita Municipality and one from Ramnagar Bahuarwa Rural Municipality, while the identity of one person has not been revealed.

The Ministry of Health had earlier issued a flawed statement. The ministry said the number of infected people had reached 250, but later corrected the statement to 245.
