KATHMANDU: Government Spokesperson Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada said that the government has not thought to internationalize border dispute with India immediately.

At a press conference organized to make public Cabinet decisions, the government Spokesperson Dr. Khatiwada said that the government would return Nepal’s land through bilateral talks and diplomatic initiatives with India.

“Our initiative will be to get them (India) to agree to return our land through negotiations based on the evidence we have,” he said, “We have not thought about internationalization right now.”

A Cabinet meeting held at Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Friday decided to include the newly revised map of Nepal in the coat of arms, Dr. Khatiwada said.

The government had on Wednesday published Nepal’s updated map that included Lipu Lekh, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani encroached by India.
