Three new COVID-19 infected people admitted to Bharatpur Hospital

CHITWAN: Three people testing positive for coronavirus during the tests conducted at the Bharatpur coronavirus laboratory have been admitted to the Bharatpur Corona Special Hospital.

Three among the 131 had tested positive in the PCR tests.

A septuagenarian-couple of Bharatpur metropolis-6, Chitwan and a male, 45, from Nawalparasi district were found to have contracted with the coornavirus.

The couple, 74-year-old male and 73-year-old female, had come returned from India on May 16 after medical treatment.

Their son, who also returned with them, however, tested negative.

Likewise, the male from Tribeni municipality-6, Nawalparasi had returned home from Gujarat, India on May 14, according to Public Health Office Nawalpur’s Chief Keshab Chapagain.

He was put in quarantine in Nawaplarasi-West upon his arrival and later shifted to a local quarantine facility at his hometown on May 19.

He had complained of fever on May 20 and was taken to the Chormara-based Health Center.

As he tested positive for the coronavirus, he was sent to the Corona Hospital.

Bharatpur Hospital’s information officer Leeladhar Poudel said that the health condition of all three and another infected identified earlier is normal.

According to him, high alertness has been adopted in Bharatpur after a security personnel with his working station in Kathmandu was found infected with the virus.
